Islanders should offer sheet Marner. Paybacks a b!tch! - K-man25
I always laugh how giving up 4 1st rounders is "Payback: for Leafs signing a UFA and giving up no assets. |

Nice Write up Ben! I'm just not sure about these remaining FA's? They just do not seem to be many options to improve the top 6. Maybe Isles should just give Otto a shot and keep the Cap space remaining for now. |

None of these guys do anything for me. The only one who remotely makes sense is Boyle. If you sign Dzingel to a 4 or 5-year deal, then re-signing guys like Pulock, Toews and especially Barzal become infinitely tougher and I’d rather give a young guy a chance still on his entry contract than pay him.

I agree potvin. Unless it's a clear upgrade to the top 6, Isles should hold onto the Cap space and go with internal options for the bottom 6. |

Top 6 is where they really need the help I mean a 3/4c is a need but not like a guy that can fill the net on the wing. Hoffman would be ideal he has scored 20 plus goals the last 5 years including 36 last year, I'm not sure about Florida's cap space but hes a guy I'd love on the team |

Going to be very difficult for Isles to improve the top 6 at this point. Hoffman is interesting. Isles need to start giving young talent a chance and less pressure in the bottom 6. Give Otto a shot and worse comes to worse you use Fritz. Sadly Isles are not competing this year so do not waste Cap space. I'm not sure I would even for Hoffman at this point? |

So much that they lose in the first round every year and haven't won a cup in over 50 years. Let's be honest the leafs are the paper champs of the nhl |

Only way we should get Dizingel is on a one or 2 year deal at 4 or 4.5 mil tops otherwise trade for a rfa or let a home grown guy like Wahlstrom or Bellows compete for top 6 spot. I think Wahlstrom can be that guy if he has a good camp and would do wonders for our PP. Don't let his numbers at BC fool you he was miss used and he stood out at in Bridgeport right away especially in playoffs him n Bellows . |

No to the remaining UFAs except maybe Boyle on a one year deal. Still want to see them try an offer sheet on Point. |

Rags have 8.9 cap space left and need to sign Trouba and 3 others and Trouba is going to cost ~ 8 million. Don’t know if an Islander Ranger trade is possible but I would take Kreider if a deal can be made. He only has one year left on his contract and shouldn’t cost that much to get imho. Rangers need to clear cap space. |

Ill take Hoffman as long as he’s dumped his girlfriend.
I love how Ek knows his readers. There are a lot of aisles posters here and he’s smart enough to keep us in his rumors. |

Dzingel is the only kinda-sorta Premier UFA out there....I don’t see him signing anything less than a 3-year deal at this point.

Would’ve liked Johansson but he’s off the board. To the Sabres... |
